Life as I know it consists of a few key ingredients:

Friends (they keep me happy and loved)
Family (they keep me loved and grounded)
Significant Other (he keeps me sane and loved)
Music (it keeps me sane and happy)
God (he keeps me)
Millie (she loves me unconditionally)

I have been extremely fortunate to have the very best friends a person could have. I’ve also been fortunate to have loved and lost and loved again. I have had more good in my life than a lot of people, even though I tend to forget that sometimes. Lately, with the added Significant Other in the mix now, I am reminded of how happy I was once. I truly didn’t think I would ever be that happy again.

I have a wonderful family. Like most, it’s been dysfunctional at times, but no more so than anyone else. I have good parents who love me and try hard to show me. I have siblings who I think the world of and am closer now to them than I have ever been. Same with the parents. Growing up has its cons, but it definitely has its pros (and I’m not just talking about being able to buy beer).

My life is busy now. So much busier than it’s ever been before…even more so than when I was working and going to school. That was nothing compared to my life now. Work is crazy, but I’m managing and will continue to manage. I have a great job, I work for an amazing company and I’m tired, but happy.

My life is good…..thanks to so many people. It’s that time of year when we remember what we’re thankful for. Do me a favor, try and remember it every day – not just November. I’ll go first. 🙂
